Free comps of all video backdrops
It can be difficult to know whether a particular piece of stock footage will work in your video. FeedbackVideo makes that easy by giving you the opportunity to download a free comp to try in your rough edit before committing to purchasing it. To do this, find a clip you are interested in, and click on it's thumbnail. This will bring you to the preview page. On this page you will see a blue link that
says "download comp" right click on this and select "Save link as" in Firefox or "Save target as" in Internet Explorer. Choose a folder on your computer to save the file to.
Once it's downloaded you will have a low res version of the actual clip to use in your rough edit. The comps are 320 X 240 and have a watermark on them but it will give you a good idea of what it will look like in your project. When you find the right video for your project, purchase and download the full resolution version and drop it into your project in place of the comp.

Advanced search tips
The search feature can be quite powerful if you use it properly. Let's say you are working on a HiDef video project and you need a stock video backdrop to place behind some text on screen. The text is important so you want something that will not be overbearing. Go to the clip search page and enter HD subtle and you will see all available HD clips that also have the keyword subtle in them. See them here
The options are endless, for example:
sports pal Will show you all sports themed clips that are available in PAL format
blue fast Will show you all clips with blue in them that are fast paced
If your searches don't reveal anything, or too few clips, try choosing any instead of all in the search options.
